11/10 - Habitat for Humanity Women's Build

This past weekend, we participated in a Women's Habitat for Humanity build in Baton Rouge. Four ladies went out, and we had a blast!


        

        




06/30 - Habitat for Humanity Build

    On June 30th, 2012, several members of the LSU Chapter of EWB-USA participated in a Habitat for Humanity build in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Everyone had a great time and learned quite a lot about the process of building a house and also the Habitat for Humanity program.

09/15 - Beach Sweep

    On Saturday, the 15th of September, 17 members of the LSU Chapter of Engineers Without Borders USA made the drive out to Lacombe, Louisiana to help pick up litter from Bayou Lacombe and the lakefront of Big Branch Marsh National Wildlife Refuge.


Description: Every year The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service partners with the Friends of Louisiana Wildlife Refuges, Inc. and the Lake Pontchartrain basin Foundation to clean up waterways and beaches around the Lake Pontchartrain Basin. Volunteers are needed on the Northshore to clean Bayou Lacombe and the lakefront of Big Branch Marsh National Wildlife Refuge. Litter will be picked up by foot and canoe. All equipment will be provided.
